MSME – Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise – is a critically important segment of the economy, which contributes significantly to employment generation, exports and the GDP of the nation. Various schemes and programmes are implemented by the Ministry of MSME through different organizations under the ministry. The ease of connectivity, advanced communication network and the availability of human resources in the State enable flourishing of MSMEs in Kerala.

United Nations General Assembly has recognized that long-term development can be achieved through the growth sustained by MSMEs. UN has designated June 27 as International Day for MSMEs. The technological innovations introduced by MSMEs in tourism activities are beneficial for guests and promoters alike. Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Social Media Platforms, etc., could come under the purview of MSMEs.

Our Story

Metro Mart finds it fit to identify and acknowledge leaders in the MSME sector with focus on tourism sector. The award categories would range from provision of basic services to innovation in artificial intelligence. We believe these players should be acknowledged as an example for the newcomers. A rigorous selection criterion will be set in identifying the leaders. This includes collecting public opinion through online and offline and in-person verification by Metro Mart team. An eminent panel will conduct a seminar on MSME on June 27.

We believe the innovating approach of the government bodies in handling MSMEs in the State could be highlighted at the event. The efforts by the government to provide excellent facilities for boosting the growth of MSME sector in Kerala could be set as an example for the rest of the world.
